Jill Robinson, Trustee

My name is Jill, I have worked in various support worker roles throughout my career, starting in the early 80’s when I became a Social Services Cadet! This was a governmental scheme called Youth Opportunities Programme, who knows they may make a comeback! When I left that scheme I got a job as a care assistant working with older people at a residential home where I’d had a placement.

After various job roles in various parts of the country I started working for Ordinary Lifestyles as a Team Leader in 2014. I loved supporting the 2 individuals I worked with and had many amazing adventures (one of which is illustrated in my picture) and I also felt very proud to work for Ordinary Lifestyles, the organisation’s values being aligned with my own. I made the decision to move on due to wanting to work closer to home and wanting to sleep in my own bed every night!

I was really happy to be asked to continue my relationship with the organisation by becoming a Trustee.
